more del.icio.us libraries

November 27, 2007

Two more great examples of del.icio.us social bookmarking at work.

North Metro Technical College Library in Acworth, Georgia uses del.icio.us to organize links for students on it’s “Resources Related to Your Program of Studies” page.

Each subject bundle includes a tag, “HowDoIFind”, which provides links to video tutorials and help guides for using the library’s electronic resources and online subscriptions.

OCLC is using del.icio.us to tag its list of the top 1000 titles owned by member libraries. In April 2007, OCLC added del.icio.us tags for each of the items described in the top 1000 titles list.

The del.icio.us bookmarks in the OCLC Top 1000 all link back into WorldCat.org.
